Matang Jaya Inauguration Ceremony

The Inauguration Ceremony of the Sri Sathya Sai Community Centre of Matang Jaya, Sg. Buloh was held on Sunday, 14 th September 2025. The day started off with some Vedic chants, prayers and a vibrant bhajan session by the Matang Jaya EHV children and a few adults from Brickfields Sai Centre.

Following the welcoming address by the CAP Coordinator, brother Ramana from the Batu Caves Bhajan Unit, the President of SSIOM, brother V. Sugumaran delivered his keynote address. Bro. Parani, the VP-Service then delivered his message for the day after which he launched the Social Action Initiative for the benefit of the needy Matang Jaya folks. Several Council members were also present on that day, namely brother Amar Ramachandran, the National Secretary of SSIOM, brother G. Reddy and brother R. Ramachandran who are Council Advisors.

Performance by the children from all the groups were enchanting and exciting. This was followed by paying tribute to all the benefactors and the volunteers who have contributed in one way or another through kind or in cash towards the growth of the MJ CAP Project. They include brother Arree Chandran, who gave us a house for carrying out the CAP activities. Other organizations outside the Sai Circle which played significant roles over the past 12 years were also given due recognition. These include JCI, TAR University, 100WCC, Rotary Club of Klang Valley, Inner Wheel Club, Kinrara Metta Buddhist Association, Better Malaysia Foundation and Cycle & Carriage. Sai Centres that have contributed towards the growth of the MJ CAP Project were Brickfields Centre, Cheras Centre, Rawang Centre, Batu Caves BU, Kepong BU and Sentul BU.

Lucky Draws weld held in-between the programme to the excitement of the guests. The moment of truth was the ribbon cutting ceremony to unveil the plaque by brother G. Reddy to signify the Inauguration of the New Premise. Bro. G Reddy was instrumental in the renovation of the house to what it is today and this made it possible for us to receive more and more children for the EHV Programme and to conduct the Free Tuition Programme, which is in the pipeline, expected to kick start in December 2025 with the help of Mr. Rajendran from EWRF Organisation. The day also saw the handing over of the torch of leadership from brother Ramana to sister Kalyani, who will be
leading the Team from here on.

The day ended with the roar of the Lions from the Muhibbah Lion Dance Troupe, headed by Mr. James Vijepala, blessing the house. The lovely lunch, sponsored by Cheras Sai Centre was indeed memorable and everybody went back home, happy and blessed indeed.
